It takes time and energy to win the fight against poverty. It also takes a huge amount of financial support. We depend on high value fundraising to help fund our emergency, development and campaigning work and we need specific expertise in major donor fundraising to grow our income further over the coming years.

Be challenged

We develop and maintain outstanding relationships with our high net worth supporters and we are seeking a high caliber charity professional to manage a portfolio of donors. Reporting to and working closely with our Head of Major Gifts, you will use your relationship skills to identify, cultivate and secure gifts from major donors, whist at the same time focusing on expanding our portfolio with new donors.

The role

This role will manage relations with new and existing donors giving at £10k+. You will be tasked with growing income from your portfolio, thus securing significant and sustainable funding for Oxfam’s work. You will also work with major donors to increase pro-poor practices which have a direct impact on the alleviation of poverty and suffering. This post works closely with other teams, building relationships within Oxfam that impact on the team’s work.

Be involved

You will have experience of securing funds from major donors from either the charity or higher education sectors. We are looking for a very competent fundraiser, able to spot opportunities and maximise income. This role will have face-to-face contact with high-profile stakeholders so it is vital that you are a great relationship builder.
