Arthritis is the biggest cause of pain and disability in the UK affecting almost 10 million people across the UK.  As the only charity in the UK focused on funding research into all forms of arthritis, and the biggest charitable funder of arthritis research in Europe we aim to work tirelessly to significantly increase investment into prevention, treatment and cure; focusing our activities on reducing pain and keeping people with arthritis active and able to continue to do the things that they love.

As the organisation looks forward to the next 5 years with a refreshed strategy beginning April 2015, we have identified that significantly growing the supporter base, improving the effectiveness of our relationship management, and providing the information and tools to aid our income generation efforts, is a critical success factor in the organisation achieving its longer term aims.

The CRM and Fundraising Development team is a relatively newly formed team.  The role of the team is to provide, support and champion the highest standards of supporter relationship management and professional, effective and innovative fundraising.  This includes fundraising database analytics and development, fundraising audience insight and analysis, supporter care, supporter journey, fundraising information management, sector research & benchmarking, compliance and fundraising innovation. 

As the Fundraising Insight and Development Manager you will deliver an integrated plan for fundraising to maximise insight, intelligence and information.  This role offers a fantastic opportunity to use your passion for data and insight to shape this function into one that delivers exceptional business intelligence to help us raise more money, engage supporters and deliver sector leading customer care.  In this new role, you will be responsible for:

  • Being the conduit between Fundraising and ICT for development and improvements of existing CRM system to ensure synergy of functionality

  • Ensuring the fundraising directorate has robust systems and processes in place for data capture and data analytics

  • Leading on fundraisinganalysis, insight and intelligence in order to improve our marketing approach, increase our supporter base and grow our income

  • Ensuring systems, processes and information flows support the delivery of agreed supporter care & stewardship programmes

What you’ll need:

  • Skills and experience of leading and managing strategic thinking and direction through data insight and CRM

  • Experience of managing single supporter view and data segmentation strategies toachieve customer and supporter engagement using CRM and other Business Information tools to drive business outcomes and objectives

  • Experience of successful and demonstrable relationship building and engagement of key stakeholders
