Cord is a peacebuilding organisation that is inspired by the message of fairness, peace and fullness of life, inherent in the Christian Gospel. It has a long and proud history in humanitarian and development work with communities worldwide affected by conflict. In 2012, with its current five-year strategy (2012-2016), “Peace through Partnership” it decisively established itself as a peacebuilding organisation building on its historic relationships, reputation and firm belief that all people have a right to live in peace in which they can flourish and reach their full potential. We dream of a world in which every individual enjoys the dignity of fair treatment and the hope of a more positive future. We work in conflict and post-conflict societies with people of all faiths and none to enable them to address and overcome the root causes of conflict.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced UK based DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR to:

  • proven understanding and experience of communications and advocacy.

We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who has good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, and the ability to take an innovative and creative approach to articulating Cord’s impact to a wide variety of audiences.

If you have a commitment to the values and ethos of Cord, and the energy to be part of a small but well established organisation, then we would like to hear from you.  This role is based in Coventry, UK and the post-holder will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
