Head of Fundraising

The Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA)  is described by the BBC as "One of Britain’s most effective conservation groups”.  Based on Upper Street in Islington EIA offers pension benefits, flexi-time and an opportunity to be part of a small organisation making real changes to combatting environmental crime and abuse. 

EIA gathers visual and documentary evidence, often from undercover investigations, which is then used to campaign for change, raise public awareness and to advocate practical solutions to environmental problems.

EIA are looking for a full time head of fundraising to join their team in an exciting time of organisational growth and development.

Key responsibilities will include: 

• implementing and developing the fundraising strategy 
• setting and monitoring annual income and expenditure budgets 
• managing a team of four fundraisers to deliver fundraising income from a diverse range of income streams including statutory funders and private foundations, individual donors, major donors and legacy donors
• develop and implement a new individual giving program in line with the planned strategy
• as a member of the senior management team the role shares collective responsibility to deliver the organisation's strategy and vision

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience: 

• significant experience working across income streams at a senior level

• strong experience of raising funds from major donors and statutory, trusts and foundations

• experience of developing fundraising strategy for a charity in the region of 1- 3m overall income
  team and budget management

• excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
