Trustee (Fundraising)

Population Matters is Britain's leading membership charity concerned with the impact on the environment and future sustainability of rising human numbers. We conduct research, education and advocacy. We call for women’s empowerment, social justice and access to reproductive health, and that people consider having smaller families for environmental reasons.

Our board meets quarterly in central London and is responsible for approving strategy, monitoring performance, managing risk and ensuring regulatory compliance. Board members are also invited to attend our AGM and other occasional events and are consulted between meetings by email. We welcome expressions of interest from members of all social groups. We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

• a commitment to our mission and policy goals, as set out on our website.
• experience of setting strategy, monitoring performance, managing risk and ensuring compliance, ideally through past board experience.
• a track record of working with others and demonstrating good judgement and objectivity
