Shared Interest Foundation provides support to fair trade businesses in the developing world. Together with Shared Interest Society, we provide a vital combination of business training and fair finance. Our financial management training courses are tailored to suit businesses from start-ups to large co-operatives and by helping to build business support networks we are helping fair trade businesses break into new markets.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Foundation’s small team. You will research, develop and lead a range of projects, providing evaluation reports and developing quality proposals and tenders for institutional donors and foundations. You will work with our partners’ in-country to achieve the project objectives.

You will be an experienced project manager with a record of delivery, including work on overseas projects. You must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of development issues and experience of working remotely with overseas partners to develop proposals and tenders, together with experience of developing proposals and tenders for institutional donors and foundations.  You will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others. The role will be based in Newcastle but will involve periods of national and international travel.
