Fundraising Manager (Sporting / Challenge Events)

Position: Sporting and Challenge Events Manager 
Location: Home based providing nationwide cover 
Job type: Full-time 
Hours: 35 hours per week

About the Role: 
The community fundraising team is looking to build upon the success of the current sporting activities portfolio. The teams ambition is to rapidly increase the number of own place sporting participants and improve the current ROI on sporting activities. The post holder will be able to identify new opportunities and transform these into growth in our sporting portfolio. 

A key aspect of this role will be to support, develop, inspire and grow their sporting activities portfolio. They are looking to build on their existing portfolio and to bring rapid growth in this area especially around DIY sporting participants. You will be target driven and ensure you support the fundraising team to deliver the maximum income. 

Within this role you will be account managing all relationships with all event partners to ensure they are developed to their full potential and to ensure future growth. Furthermore you will develop new relationships with sports events organisations, including managing applications for nominated charity relationships. 

In addition you will develop a balanced portfolio of sporting activities and mass participation events, with the aim of significantly increasing the number of participants choosing to fundraise for Hft. You will also increase volunteer involvement in all sporting and mass participation events and activities. 

About You: 
You will be experienced and have an in depth understanding of how sporting event fundraising works along with a proven demonstrable range of office skills. Experience of account managing supplier relationships is important, along with Strong experience of recruiting, leading, motivating and managing supporters and volunteers. 

Due to the nature of this role you will need to hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel across England with overnight stays when necessary. 

Most importantly you will be a team member who is able to use your outstanding customer focused skills to ensure they grow and maintain the income needed to support the valuable work of Hft.
