DEBRA is the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a painful genetic skin blistering condition which, in the worst cases, can be fatal.

Our vision:

We have a vision of a world where no one suffers from the painful genetic skin condition EB.

Until that day, DEBRA focuses its work in two areas:

  1. We fund pioneering research to find effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for EB.
  2. We provide care and support to individuals and families living with EB.

We couldn’t do any of this without raising substantial funds, which is why you will be so integral to our success.

The Role:

DEBRA is currently seeking an efficient and highly motivated individual to generate community fundraising income and promote public awareness of DEBRA and EB in London and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Regional Fundraising Manager to achieve income targets and support and develop new and existing regional fundraising projects.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • To develop a plan to generate income in London/Greater London;
  • To represent DEBRA by giving talks and presentations about the work of the Charity at local businesses/schools/community groups;
  • To liaise with external organisations and community groups to encourage support for the charity;
  • To assist in the development of supporter groups that will organise Community Fundraising activities on a sustainable basis.

Essential Skills / Experience:

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to converse at all levels of the organisation, as well as externally to existing and prospective supporter groups. You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic, with sound administration skills and the ability to work well under pressure and to meet targets.

To Apply: If you are enthusiastic about the contribution you could make, please forward your CV and cover letter to our HR team, or visit our website.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
