Betteshanger Sustainable Parks is a unique and ambitious project; a commercial, educational and visitor destination focused on environmental sustainability, located on the site of the former Betteshanger colliery. Located near Deal in East Kent, the £40m scheme will create jobs, bring inward investment and a new sense of aspiration in a deprived community. 

Betteshanger Park, forms a key part of the wider Betteshanger Sustainable Park vision.  The new £7.75m Visitor Centre, scheduled to open in 2017, comprises the Kent Mining Museum, green energy centre, cycling, catering, conferencing and retail facilities. 

Betteshanger Enterprise Park will create a new economic hub for East Kent, combining high quality commercial space for industries linked with sustainable green technologies, food technology and production, health and wellbeing and life science.  This will be supported through a programme of training and formal educational opportunities delivered through the Hadlow Group.

Fundraising Coordinator

Salary negotiable (dependent upon skills and experience)

Full Time 40 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Fundraising Coordinator to lead, coordinate and support the Betteshanger Major Gifts campaign and subsequent revenue campaigns.  Working closely with a fundraising consultant and the Campaign Leadership, the Fundraising Coordinator will share responsibility for achieving Betteshanger’s fundraising goals, managing relationships with trusts and foundations, corporate supporters and high net-worth individuals.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar fundraising position, excellent communication skills, including networking, diplomacy, advocacy and persuasion, an understanding of marketing principles and enthusiasm for building internal and external relationships with people who want to support Betteshanger.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Betteshanger team and to play a pivotal role in the development of the project.Based at the Betteshanger site in Deal, Kent, this is a full time position, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, and there will occasionally be the need to work at the weekend or in the evening.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and to provide proof of their right to work in the UK. Where applicable, a prohibition check will be carried out.
