Individual Giving Executive

London E1

£25,000 to £28,000 per annum | 35 hours per week

  • Do you have experience of individual giving techniques such as direct mail, email, and telephone fundraising?
  • Have you got strong project management skills – including the ability to multi-task?
  • Are you excited by change and the chance to be involved in a fast paced, test and learn programme?

If this sounds like you, the Individual Giving Executive role at Asthma UK could be just what you’re looking for. This is a great opportunity to join us at an exciting time.

What the role involves. Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, you will support our individual giving programme across a range of channels, maximising income from existing supporters and working alongside colleagues in the development of our donor acquisition programme.

The role would suit you if you have a sound knowledge of digital and off line fundraising techniques and are hungry to develop your skills and expertise.  You will have experience of managing key stages of the creative and production processes such as managing agency relationships and proof reading.  You will also be highly numerate able to manage campaign budgets and use your skills to analyse and interpret data.

You will need:

  • Basic experience of database targeting and segmentation and applying learnings to direct marketing campaigns
  • Experience of planning and implementing end to end email and direct marketing campaigns
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to manage income and expenditure budgets
  • A knowledge of gift aid and legislation relating to individual giving.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and within a multi-team project management framework

Come and make a difference! There is nothing as terrifying as the feeling of not being able to breathe or watching helplessly as a loved one struggles for breath. Although asthma affects 1 in 5 households in the UK it is, mistakenly, seen to be ‘sorted’. It’s not. In the UK today, every 10 seconds someone has a potentially fatal asthma attack. Every day the lives of three families are devastated by the death of a loved one to an asthma attack. Tragically, the majority of these could be prevented right now with the right basic care. Others still suffer with asthma so severe current treatments don’t work. This has to change. That’s why Asthma UK exists.

This is a great place to work! With around 80 people, we are a tight team working together successfully to stop asthma attacks and cure asthma. Our recent staff survey reports that although we have a decidedly high performance culture, it’s probably the friendliest place most people have worked with great opportunities for development. So, if you are a high performer who wants to really grow their individual giving skills, we’d love to hear from you.
