We are looking for a self-motivated and target driven individual to join us as Senior Funding Strategy Manager and contribute to the implementation of our new 2016-18 campaigns by embedding clearer ways of working as well as developing systems and relationships within Save the Children.

As Senior Funding Strategy Manager you will work closely with the Head of International Advocacy in order to strategically lead the fundraising portfolio for the delivery of our international strategy. You will also be expected to work with the International Advocacy Team to develop and implement processes which will improve capacity planning and project delivery. In addition you will:

  • Collaborate with proposal writers, and build understanding of advocacy around SCUK fundraising and account management teams
  • Have a clear understanding of advocacy capacity need of Country Offices, Members and SI Regional Advocacy directors
  • Design and embed process to facilitate effective ways of working
  • Introduce and implement innovative fundraising ideas and increase financial resource to the work of the IAT.

To be successful you will have a good track record in resource mobilization/fundraising in a large complex organisation. You should also have an up-to-date understanding of the current themes and trends in both private fundraising and international development. In addition you will:

  • Have a BA degree or equivalent in field management, International relations, Development studies, Economics or Social Sciences
  • Have excellent organisational, communication, team functions and management skills
  • Be an excellent relationship builder and communicator with high levels of impact and sensitivity
  • Have the ability to represent the team in front of external stakeholders
  • Target driven and able to prioritize the demanding workload
  • Be a strategic thinking with a proven ability to develop and implement strategies with impact.

A certificate from a Fundraising Institute and fluency in a second language would be an advantage.
