An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development and Fundraising Manager to join us at the Powell-Cotton Museum, Quex House and Gardens.

Funding is guarenteed for this post for 3 years and it will continue subject to income targets being met.

The Powell-Cotton Museum is a world renowned institution which is home to one of the most scientifically important collections of natural history and ethnography in the world. In addition, Quex House and Gardens compliment the public offering as a quality visitor attraction. 2016 is the 150th Anniversary of Percy Powell Cotton’s birth and in celebration we are launching a fundraising campaign to deliver the reinterpretation and restoration of the Victorian walled garden.

As Development and Fundraising Manager you will be responsible for developing strategies in order to maximize fundraising opportunities for the Powell Cotton Museum, Quex House and Gardens, and ensure income generation targets are met.  As part of the team you will work with us to provide the museum with the financial resilience required to guarantee its prosperity into the future.

We are looking for a creative and ambitious individual with proven experience and a track record of success in raising funds across a variety of funding streams. Applicants are invited from across the spectrum of fundraising.  Museum experience is not essential as we are looking for new ideas.  Transferrable skills are the key.
