Lifeline Projects is a successful Charity based in Dagenham, East London and is currently seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager to be responsible for providing professional and effective management of tenders, working collaboratively with Operational managers in shaping new service offerings and supporting organic growth of contracts with existing customers.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the Operational Managers to identify and assess service delivery partners for tenders and long term strategic partnership.
  • Working with the Operations teams to generate ideas and USPs to deliver winning tenders.
  • Production of high quality, competitive tenders from PQQ / RFI to full tender submission (£5k - £2.5m).
  • Delivering on LifeLine’s Community Fundraising strategy building a list of individual donors and facilitating fundraising events.
  • Identifying resources for bid preparation, negotiation and future project delivery, providing and updating governance materials.
  • Identifying and managing risk at tender phase and during handover to Operations.
  • Developing mobilisation strategies and working with the Operations Directors to ensure resourcing and supply chain support are available.
  • Liaising closely with and providing advice/support to Project Managers in the growth of existing projects.
  • Assisting with contract variation processes.
  • Contributing to the development of strategic objectives.
  • Fostering and developing relations with key customers and potential customer personnel.

The successful applicant will be required to have a proven track record of effective bid management and administration at a senior level, which must include a proven track-record of successfully securing significant funding and previous management experience within multi-disciplinary teams.

Experience of Community and trust / grant Fundraising and an understanding and experience of European and UK public sector procurement.

Excellent research skills, including into Government Policy and able to obtain and update varied demographic information.
