Lifeline Projects is a successful Charity based in Dagenham, East London and is currently seeking to appoint a Bid Writer to join the Business Development Team.

The Bid Writer will identify and analyse potential new business opportunities across the varied LifeLine markets. Planning and coordinating the tendering process, in line with internal processes, setting deadlines and agreeing responsibilities across various departments to ensure high quality proposals are written, approved and submitted on time.

Producing high quality, tender applications to secure additional business linked to our Business Growth Strategy. Producing compelling funding applications, for statutory, trusts and corporate funds, based on up to date research evidence and best practice.

Networking - with key organisations, Primes and sponsors to actively promote LifeLine and generate new business, including attending funding and networking events to represent LifeLine and report back to the Senior Management Team, as appropriate.

Tracking the progress and maintaining accurate records of all funding applications and Expressions of Interest and success rates against these.

Developing proposals for partnership working to access additional business – both in support of LifeLine applications and to secure participation within supply chains.

The successful applicant should preferably be educated to degree level and / or with research experience and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of securing government and grant funding through tender / bid writing. This must include a proven track-record of successfully securing significant funding.

Experience of working with public funded organisations and trust/grant funders and of winning contracts and managing the response to tenders.

Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to distil and summarise information clearly and engagingly.

Excellent research skills, including into Government Policy and able to obtain and update varied demographic information

Experience and up to date knowledge of the current funding landscape across DfE, DCLG, DWP, MoJ, Skills Funding Agency, Local Authorities, grant funding and local authorities an dknowledge of the Third Sector.
