A self-motivated and enthusiastic Fundraising Assistant is required to support the development of World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK) fundraising programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a broad range of fundraising areas, including working with fundraising colleagues on activities specifically related to events and corporate partnership programmes.

We are the principal UK charity focused on cancer prevention through the promotion of healthy eating, physical activity and the maintenance of a healthy weight.

In this varied role, you will support colleagues in these areas and contribute towards ensuring financial targets are met. As part of the fundraising team you will actively contribute to the continued development and ongoing review of the Fundraising Strategic Plan.

The successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator, organised and methodical, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and on your own initiative. You must be an effective team player who has excellent attention to detail, strong IT skills as well as good interpersonal skills.

You will possess demonstrable experience of working in the charity sector, ideally in one or more of the following areas: corporate partnerships, payroll giving, events, or community fundraising.

You will also have some experience of writing materials to request support and donor stewardship, as well as project co-ordination, preferably gained within a fundraising environment.

We offer an attractive benefits package including 25 days of annual leave, flexible working, pension scheme, private medical insurance and training and development opportunities. We have a dynamic hard-working employee environment, based in one of central London’s most attractive squares.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
