An important facet of the fundraising work will be to specifically develop a fundraising strategy for the Braeport Centre.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in the voluntary or community sector, be able to communicate and work with a range of people,  and have experience of developing funding strategies and sourcing funding.

Organisation Profile:

The Dunblane Development Trust (DDT) was established in 2003 to promote and support local community action for the benefit of people in Dunblane. The DDT is a registered charity and limited company owned by the community through our membership which is open to all who live and work in Dunblane.

Our activities are almost entirely managed and carried out by volunteers mainly through the operation of our three working groups which carry out a range of activities throughout the town.

The DDT has also managed the Braeport Community Centre for 10 years. We aim to take the Centre into community ownership and are actively negotiating ownership with Stirling Council. We have recently completed a review of the Centre and its current use, and developed a 5-year business plan for the sustainable use of the Centre and the services we provide. Our short to medium term aim is to improve the current building, and to maximize use of the existing facilities by developing and promoting services to a wider range of users.

The DDT has developed at 3 year strategy for the entire organisation which will guide our future priorities and funding requirements.

Over the past year we have been engaged in updating Dunblane’s local Community Action Plan through a public engagement process (a “Charrette”) focussing on the future development of the town centre.
