KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Corporate & Community Fundraising Team, Fundraising Volunteers, Supporter Services, Donor Development Team, PR & Communications Manager and Trading.


ROLE PURPOSE
Contribute to St Catherine’s fundraising targets by developing existing relationships and proactively researching, identifying and securing new community fundraising opportunities across targeted geographical areas
To raise St Catherine’s profile within the community, initiating and building mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships to ensure long-term support
Community Fundraiser roles are split between Surrey and Sussex with this role predominantly focusing on Surrey


RESPONSIBILITIES
Income Generation

  •  As one of two Community Fundraisers to build, manage and develop relationships with the "Friends of St Catherine’s" supporter groups to maximise and sustain income
  • Providing the highest standards of customer service to ensure long term engagement
  • Recruit new members to existing Friends’ Groups and look to develop new Friends groups in our area.
  •  To initiate, build and manage relationships with agreed existing community supporters to maximise and sustain income, providing the highest standards of customer service.
  •  To research, approach and source new support from community groups (including schools, faith groups, clubs, pubs, groups and individuals).
  •  Develop and deliver compelling fundraising activities for these groups to participate in and follow up approaches on the phone and face to face to maximise income
  •  Manage and develop St Catherine's Community Champions and provide the necessary materials to help them raise the profile of the hospice and generate income
  • Coordinate Friends' events generating maximum publicity and awareness to reach agreed income targets
  •  To work with the PR & Communications Manager to develop the profile of all Community
