We’re looking for a commercially aware Deputy Face to Face Manager with proven experience of successfully managing F2F teams to join our team in Manchester. You will assist in the management, training and development of an in-house team and help shape the future strategy for F2F fundraising at Shelter.

Shelter’s Fundraising Division has grown significantly over the past three years and is set to continue, with a vision of reaching £40m by 2017. Accordingly, there’s a real confidence on the part of the senior management team and the Board and a strong conviction that fundraising will be central to our ongoing success. Over the coming years there will be significant investment placed in the division to enable sustained growth across the board, particularly in Individual Giving where this challenging management role sits.

Benefits include 30 days annual leave and significant opportunities for learning and development.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Assisting the F2F Manager in the line management and motivation of the in-house F2F team
  • Monitoring team and individual results to ensure targets are met
  • Being field based at least three days a week, either team leading, site visiting or conducting one to ones
  • Identifying areas for improvement in fundraisers’ and team leaders’ capabilities.

And what you’ll need:

  • Experience of managing F2F teams and the ability to deliver results in a demanding environment
  • A well-organised approach and excellent people management skills
  • A flair for building effective working relationships and networks, coupled with a sensitivity to others needs
  • The ability to use Microsoft Office applications and databases for reporting.
