The University of Salford is seeking to appoint an experienced fundraiser with a focus on trusts and foundations fundraising to join the University's major gifts team within the new directorate of Marketing and External Relations.

Reporting to the Development Manager, the post-holder will build lasting relationships with a defined group of potential and existing supporters with a particular focus on trust and foundations to raise funds and achieve financial targets. They will also help realise strategically impactful projects through gifts, grants and in-kind donations, to personally be responsible for a donor and prospect pool and to engage personally and actively with a group of these donors and prospects. A key indicator of success in addition to funds raised and donors secured, will be the maintenance of strong relationships with past and current donors, and the number and amount of repeat and renewed gifts. The post-holder will fundraise across the University and will act as a fundraising lead for the Salford Institute for Dementia.

Working closely with colleagues from the Development and Alumni Engagement & Regular Giving teams the post holder will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail, as well as a proactive nature.
