Fundraising Assistant (Legacy / Individual Giving)

They work in partnership with the people they support, their families and health professionals to develop effective, person-centred services. 

Position: Legacy & In Memoriam Assistant 
Location: Central Bristol 
Hours: 35 hours per week, Full Time 
Salary: £20,178 per annum plus benefits

About the Role: 
They are looking to recruit a Fundraising Assistant to work within the Individual Giving fundraising team based at their Central Support Office in Whitefriars, Bristol. The postholder will be a key member of the Individual Giving team supporting the Legacy Manager to develop and grow Hft’s programme of fundraising through gifts in wills and in memory giving. 

Within the role you will provide administrative support to the Legacy Manager including maintaining timely and accurate legacy records on the Raiser Edge database, monthly checks and reporting on caseload, income and accruals. In addition you will manage and maintain with the support of the Legacy Manager all communications for new and existing Legacy Pledgers, and respond to communications from relatives, solicitors, executors and banks in connection with the administration of estates in a timely and professional way.

About You: 
The post holder will have experience of working in an administrative environment, with an eye for detail and accuracy. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to work with various stakeholders such as other charities, professional executors, and most importantly recently bereaved members of the public. Experience of working in the charity sector is a must. 

Experience working in a fundraising team and substantial understanding of the principles of Legacy & In memoriam Fundraising are also important for the role, as is experience of using a Fundraising database. 

Ideally you will hold the Institute of Fundraising Certificate in Fundraising Management and have experience of event organisation. Experience of working with fulfilment house, agencies and suppliers and using Raiser Edge would also be beneficial.
