We’re looking for a proactive individual with account management experience gained in the corporate or fundraising sector to join us as a Corporate Account Executive and play a vital role in our Corporate Partnership team’s future.

Based at our London offices, Shelter’s award winning Fundraising division consists of four teams and 40 staff that already generates well over £30m income a year and has plans to grow this to £45m by 2019/20. Our Corporate Partnerships team is split into two area of responsibility. New Partnerships generates new business through a range of corporate fundraising mechanics, while Account Management lead the development of long-term strategic corporate partnerships. Your key responsibilities:

  • Managing designated corporate partnerships, supporting the team in account managing major partnerships and projects to agreed targets and objectives and taking on new accounts where appropriate
  • Planning your workload effectively to deliver, and where possible exceed, budgeted income from accounts and initiatives and supporting colleagues to achieve their strategic objectives
  • Monitoring income, identifying opportunities or threats to income within your portfolio of accounts and updating the Corporate Partnership Manager on a regular basis
  • Creating account development plans on agreed accounts, building relationships with clients through regular communication and meetings and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records

  • Demonstrable excellence in managing client relationships through the ability to quickly understand their needs and respond to them effectively
  • A client focused, results-driven approach, top notch influencing and negotiation skills, a collaborative approach and respect for others opinions
  • Commercial awareness, lots of creativity and innovation, good time management skills and a willingness to challenge the status quo and introduce new methods, processes and ideas
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office packages - Word, Excel, PowerPoint - and the Raisers Edge database
