Challenge Events Officer

Shine is the national charity, which works with and supports individuals with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

We are looking for an energetic and experienced individual to manage and grow our portfolio of challenge and endurance events, including the London Marathon, the Great North Run, and other national and international active events.

Reporting to the Individual Giving Coordinator, you will:

• Be responsible for maintaining and developing new ideas for Shine’s portfolio of active/challenge events;

• Deliver on income targets, within an agreed budget;

• A confident self-starter with experience in fundraising or organising similar events;

• Excellent at connecting with people;

• Flexible in your approach to work, able to embrace change and be available to work evenings and weekends when necessary;

• Have proven experience of working in the charity sector; and

• Be willing to travel across the UK as required.

Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce CRM tools is desirable.
