Events Manager

Position: Events Manager 
Location: National role, home based 
Contract type: Permanent 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 
Salary: £35-38k per annum, dependent on experience, plus benefits

About the role: 

Reporting to the head of fundraising, this full time position is charged with growing income and awareness for the charity through the development and delivery of an agreed calendar of events. 

You will work in conjunction with fundraisers, to devise, develop and deliver a calendar of profitable fundraising events across the HEMS region, London and strategic locations to promote both local Air Ambulance and Children’s Air Ambulance nationally. You will seek out opportunities to make The Air Ambulance Service (through its Warwickshire & Northamptonshire; Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland and the Children’s Air Ambulance brands) the charity of choice for mass participation and challenge events where the charity is not currently involved. 

About you: 

You will be an experienced events manager with a proven track record in delivering income to budget across a range of income streams. A solid knowledge of all aspects of event management and proven experience of developing and managing volunteer support are also required. 

Successful candidates will be computer literate with experience of Raiser’s Edge (or similar databases) and will have proven ability to generate and manage a significant size budget. Demonstrable communication skills and a genuine interest in the work of TAAS are essential, as is experience of working with the media and an up to date knowledge of UK charity law and best practice 

A relevant fundraising, sales or events qualification along with membership of The Institute of Fundraising (or accredited professional bodies) is highly desirable. It would be particularly useful if candidates have experience of working for a national UK registered charity.
