Events Fundraising Administrator 

Are you looking for an events fundraising role providing administrative support to a national charity? 

Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help to people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury. Through its projects and programmes, Aspire offers practical support to the 40,000 people living with a spinal cord injury in the UK. To deliver this we employ 115 remarkable people. 

Position: Events Fundraiser and Administrator 
Location: Stanmore, Middlesex 
Contract type: Permanent 
Hours: 35 hours a week and some evening/weekend work 
Salary: £14,500 - £16,000

About the role: 

The purpose of this role is to provide event, fundraising and administrative support to the Aspire Channel Swim and Aspire Night Swims. You will work closely with the Events Manager to manage the fundraising support and administration for the Aspire Channel Swim, manage the recruitment, fundraiser support and administration for the Aspire Night Swim portfolio and support other members of the team in their fundraising activities. 

This involves you managing supporter communications through email correspondence, social media platforms and phone calls. You will work with the digital agency, managing the Aspire Channel Swim website, making sure it is kept up-to-date with event and participant information. Processing sponsorship income and acknowledge supporters accordingly, and ensure the Raiser’s Edge database is up to date. You will also assist the Events Manager, in recruiting 400 participants to take part in the Aspire Night Swims. 

About you: 

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing large workloads and several projects at once, and possess experience of social media marketing. You will be a confident, outgoing and passionate individual who will go the extra mile for the charity, previous experience in a customer / supporter facing environment is also essential. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this role, as is attention to detail, and having the ability to take ownership of allocated projects. You will be confident in the use of Microsoft office and have strong general computer literacy. 

Experience of working with databases, especially Raiser’s Edge and previous experience of website management, preferably Word Press or similar is desirable. You may also have previous experience in an office based environment and have an interest in swimming.
