CAFOD, one of the UK’s leading international aid agencies is recruiting a creative Philanthropy Manager to manage a small team. The post is within the Major Gifts and Philanthropy team which raises funds from major donors, companies and trusts and foundations. You will be joining an ambitious team of nine people, soon to be 11 and will play a vital part in contributing to our ongoing success and in developing new income stream.

Job Profile

This is an exciting time to join the Major Gifts and Philanthropy team as we look to grow our income post our From Poverty to Opportunity Campaign which raised £10m. As an experienced fundraiser you will lead in developing and implementing the next phase of our HNWI and major donor fundraising agenda to support our work with communities in 40 countries worldwide.

Your role

You will be required to develop, implement and actively promote CAFOD’s major donor strategy to further secure a higher level of giving from existing and new donors, and grow a strong peer to peer approach. This will involve building strong relationships with your own portfolio of prospects and donors, inspiring them to give significant gifts and support to CAFOD as well as manage the team to work across a large and diverse pipeline of prospects and donors.

Your profile

You will be a self-starter, with excellent major donor experience, organisational skills, line management knowledge and with the gravitas to build positive relationships with HNWI and stakeholders at all levels.
