The Royal Free Charity works in partnership with the Royal Free Trust Hospital, Barnet Hospital and Chase Farm Hospital by ‘making today feel better’ for all users of the hospitals. We raise and spend millions every year, which support pioneering research that revolutionises patient care through to everyday improvements in hospital services and facilities.

We are now seeking to appoint a Community Fundraiser to help us identify, plan and co-ordinate a calendar of fundraising activities to promote and raise the profile of the charity within the Royal Free Trust Hospital and wider community including community groups, schools and hospital staff. The role will be based at the Charity head office in Hampstead, with travel to inner London and to our two outer London based Charities in Barnet and Enfield.

The Capital Appeals and Fundraising team is busy, vibrant and energetic with plenty of ambition for the future; therefore you’ll need to be a highly-motivated self-starter, with a minimum of one year’s, though ideally two years previous experience in a community fundraising role.

We are looking to recruit a brilliant individual who can support and help us implement our short and longer-term fundraising strategies, you will demonstrate the following experience and skills:-

  • Success of meeting fundraising targets through event and activity fundraising
  • Experience of organising small and large scale fundraising events
  • Proven track record of being able to work independently to an agreed work plan
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and manage workload effectively
  • Proven experience to train and support fundraising volunteers
  • Knowledge of good working practice in community fundraising and event management

And will be responsible for:-

  • The planning of successful fundraising events
  • Involved in the community fundraising team promotion of the charity
  • Being first point of contact for fundraisers and fund holders wishing to fundraise
