Community Fundraising Manager

c. £30,067 (dependent on experience)

Home Based - Cornwall or South Devon

Ref: 6690

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and growing all aspects of community fundraising in the Cornwall, Isles of Scilly and North & South Devon area and help generate funds that support our lifesaving service.

The RNLI has an extensive and well-established network of volunteer fundraising groups and this role will focus on both enhancing relationships with our existing supporters and donors, as well as identifying and delivering new fundraising opportunities, events and projects.

The RNLI is keen to engage with highly motivated candidates with an organised approach who can offer strong fundraising skills, creativity and a passion for maximising supporter involvement and income generation.

A background in the third sector is not essential but proven fundraising, events or business development experience, or a volunteer management background is desirable. With excellent communication and relationship-building skills, the successful candidate will be able to look strategically at the area they cover, as well as driving forward fundraising on the ground.

Primarily covering the Cornwall, Isles of Scilly and North & South Devon area you will hold a valid driving licence as you will be required to regularly travel extensively within the area, as well as more widely when required. This is a home based role so interested candidates should live in the area, and the flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential. An RNLI vehicle is provided.

There has never been a more exciting time to join the RNLI, where every member of staff plays a vital part in saving lives at sea. If you want the opportunity to join a bright and motivated fundraising team in a vibrant, forward-thinking department, this is a great step for you.

This post requires a valid driving licence.
