About the role

We are looking for two exceptional candidates to help shape our future funding portfolio. As a vital member of our brand new fundraising innovation department, you will be responsible for advancing strategic innovation for the British Red Cross. Leading new product development cycles, you will drive the entire process: from unearthing fresh insight, to creating and developing new fundraising propositions; from designing, running and evaluating prototypes, to building business cases and planning pilots for promising concepts.

You will support the Fundraising Innovation Mangaer to run new product development cycles by helping:
 

  • plan the process and the scope of each innovation cycle;
  • conduct market research and  interviews to uncover audience wants and needs;
  • identify donor-led insights;
  • run creative workshops  to formulate, and co-create, new fundraising propositions;
  • improve and test ideas through qualitative and quantitative studies;
  • assist in building business cases and financial models for the ideas;
  • design, run, deliver and evaluate product prototypes to test the concept in the real world with real people

About the person

With extensive fundraising, marketing or product development experience, the Fundraising Innovation Officer will have a proven track record of innovation. Working with a high degree of independence, in a close team environment, you will have outstanding interpersonal skills and a resilient character.

The post holder will have project management experience, and have the ability to prioritise tasks, managing concurrent projects and activities to tight deadlines.  You will also possess strong IT skills, with sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. The Fundrasing Innovation Officer will be an effective communicator with strong business accumen. You will be energetic and creative person who embraces change and has a strong understanding of commercial viability and feasibility.
