Are you passionate about nature?  Join us in an exciting fundraising role to grow our voluntary income and support our work protecting local wildlife.

Our members and supporters are critical to ensuring that, as a Wildlife Trust, we can continue to stand up for wildlife locally and nationally, look after our Nature Reserves and help people of all ages engage and connect with nature.

This post will be involved in development and growth of our membership scheme and work to increase levels of voluntary income to the Trust.  In particular the postholder will lead recruitment of new members through all channels, including face to face, door to door and online recruitment.  They will be expected to directly recruit members themselves, as well as working with other staff and line managing a small team of casual recruiters to maximise the opportunities available.

You will need to be self-motivated, well organised, outgoing and personable, with the drive and determination to recruit new members and meet income targets.  It is anticipated that the successful applicant will hold at least three years previous experience in charity fundraising and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a motivation/interest in protecting the natural environment.

Regular weekend and evening work will be involved, especially during the summer months, but office days/hours are flexible.  You will be based at our HQ in Sheffield, with travel to venues and events in the Sheffield and Rotherham area.

Application deadline is 7th February

Interviews are scheduled for 21st February
