Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings 13 leading UK humanitarian aid agencies together to respond to the biggest and most urgent disasters. Since it was founded in 1963, the DEC has run over 60 appeals and raised more than £1.4bn to help save lives and protect livelihoods. It now has an excellent opportunity for an experienced relationship fundraiser to help drive partnerships with major donors, corporates, trusts and foundations. Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Marketing you will drive strategy and help increase income.

The Successful Candidate:

- Experience of managing corporate and high value donor relationships to a high standard and leading to long-term engagement, with a proven track record of negotiating relationships leading to six or seven figure sums

- Exceptional communication, organisational and budget management skills

- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail

- Excellent understanding and insight into current trends within the charity sector
