UCL Office of the Vice-Provost (Development)

Senior Alumni Relations Manager (International)

The appointment will be full time on UCL Grade 8. The salary range will be £42,304 - £49,904 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

Philanthropy at UCL is about more than raising funds to support projects – it is about breaking down barriers, providing opportunities, and supporting the University to challenge convention, think differently and solve global challenges. In September 2016, UCL introduced a bold new global philanthropic Campaign, It’s All Academic, which aims to raise £600m. At its heart is radical, disruptive thinking that has been at the core of UCL since it was founded in 1826.

We offer an empowering values-based environment where staff are encouraged to try new things. We offer agile working and flexibility around working hours. We also value mutual respect and collaboration, and have a strong customer-service ethic. Expectations are high and we work hard, but the rewards are huge.

UCL is an outstanding place to work. In addition to working with some of the greatest intellects in the world, as a member of the UCL community you are entitled to a generous pension scheme and holiday entitlement, as well as opportunities for personal and professional growth.

As Senior Alumni Relations Manager (International) you will devise, deliver and manage a targeted and collaborative strategy for UCL’s relationship with its international alumni community in East and South East Asia and other priority regions. The role will focus on increasing engagement amongst alumni and supporters in support of the Campaign for UCL, a key enabler for the delivery of UCL2034.

You will have experience of working in a role with a responsibility for engaging a variety of audiences, ideally in alumni relations, membership programmes or volunteer management. You will also have experience of managing long-term overseas projects, with the expertise to adapt plans to take into account different cultures and environments. You will have managed a range of projects concurrently and have an outstanding ability to think strategically and plan for the medium and long term as well as on a day-to-day basis.

At UCL we are proud of our longstanding commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. We welcome people from all backgrounds and strive to create an environment where everyone can give of their best.
