At this time of growing need, Asylum Welcome is increasing its capacity to respond to asylum seekers, refugees and detainees, including unaccompanied children. We are seeking a people-person with the drive to achieve a target income, who can manage several fundraising activities simultaneously and who can produce exceptional funding applications and communicate with supporters in a compelling way.

  • Develop warm professional relationships with donors and with representatives of trust-funds, ensuring that they feel connected to the organisation.
  • Maintain personal contacts by telephone and arrange and attend meetings with donors and representatives of trust-funds.
  • Maintain Asylum Welcome’s Facebook page and produce electronic mailings to supporters and donors (e.g. e-newsletters), with different outputs for different groups.
  • Assist the director with the production of the annual publication promoting our work.
  • Oversee postal appeals.
  • Work with the office manager and volunteers to ensure donors are appropriately thanked.
  • Issue invitations to the AGM and other high-profile events.
  • Fundraising from regular givers
