The Digital Fundraising team is seeking an experienced digital marketer to join our ambitious team at a time of exciting change, as we launch a new website and email service provider.

In this role you will use your skills and experience to help lead our team and drive digital fundraising at the British Red Cross. You will play a critical role in helping us develop our email marketing strategies for key areas of fundraising and support our transition to a new email service provider, shaping the future of email marketing at the organisation.

Using your extensive knowledge of search, social, display and email marketing you will help develop fundraising strategies and oversee the execution of fundraising campaigns across multiple channels. And when disaster strikes you will be at the forefront of our emergency appeal fundraising, raising millions of pounds for people in crisis when they need it most.

Key responsibilities include:
 

  • Using extensive knowledge of email marketing support the completion of our email service provider review. Acting email marketing led for fundraising playing a leading role in the implementation of the new platform and developing email marketing strategies
  • Overseeing and supporting the end-to-end management of digital marketing campaigns across full range of digital marketing channels
  • Managing and developing excellent working relationships with external suppliers
  • Working in business partnering model with departments across fundraising, sharing responsibility for the management of campaign briefing process, prioritising digital marketing activity and allocating resource
  • Line management of one Digital Fundraising Officer
  • Launching and managing emergency appeals online worth millions of pounds

About the person

With expert knowledge of digital marketing techniques the Assistant Digital Fundraising Manager will play a key role in shaping digital fundraising at the British Red Cross and delivering results across our digital marketing activity.

You will need:
 

  • Extensive experience of project managing fundraising/marketing campaigns from concept through to evaluation
  •  Excellent knowledge of using digital marketing techniques such as email marketing, search marketing, mobile marketing, display advertising and social media advertising
  • Hands on experience of using an email service provider to send and analyse email marketing campaigns
  • Ability to plan and manage a variety of projects and activities to tight deadlines with often changing priorities
  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret results, using analysis to inform decision-making
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving with the confidence to make decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, along with the ability to develop strong working relationships with direct reports, external suppliers and internal departments
