Introduction
The African Prisons Project (APP) is a community of people passionately committed to improving access to health, life skills, justice and rehabilitation for prisoners in Africa. We are preparing to launch a new strategy which will focus on equipping changemakers amongst prisoners and prisons staff to bring justice and compassion to their communities. We expect to move from operating only as a charity to also being a social enterprise – providing high quality, ultra-affordable legal services to those who are disenfranchised from the law.

African Prisons Project has a Christian ethos which leads us to serve all regardless of their religion, background, offence, sentence, race, gender or any other factor. We believe every person’s life is fundamentally valuable—our past need not define our future.  We are inspired by Jesus’ example of bringing justice and compassion to those rejected by society and seeing great value in those that others’ have written off.

Job Overview
To build on APP's remarkable fundraising history, including pro bono support, and lead sustained growth in income in this community where ' everyone is a fundraiser'. To develop an integrated approach to fundraising where programme teams and HQ work hand in hand to develop and nurture relationships with funders.

Our ambitious plans call for income growth of 50% per year over the next 4 years. Your job will be to inspire and lead the fundraising team to deliver that growth.
