We are looking for an ambitious marketer with previous product/event marketing experience and an enthusiasm for identifying and implementing new social and digital technologies. Working across our sporting and mass participation fundraising products, this new post will have creative marketing responsibility for developing products and market-leading campaigns. In the role, you will develop creative and engaging supporter content and explore new channels of communication and re-engagement with our supporters.

Main duties include:

  • Development of a multi-channel communications calendar for our supporters to extend awareness and engagement of Community and Sporting Events (CSE) activities.
  • Shape strategic direction for marketing and supporter engagement for the CSE function
  • Be responsive to the ever-changing digital landscape and be the team lead for the review and implementation of new technologies
  • Write inspiring marketing copy and compelling communications to support CSE activities and drive action
  • Audience insight generation, interpretation and application
  • Product and proposition development to maximise income and attract new audiences
  • Manage and support the development of the Community and Sporting Events Officer
  • Be the fundraising lead on the planning and delivery of new and existing fundraising products/events
  • Ensuring the integration of products across the charity to drive maximum value and awareness
  • Routine end of campaign reviews and analysis, with proactive adaptation of plans to optimise results
  • Agency relationship management across a variety of partners and suppliers
  • Annual budgeting of fundraising product/event marketing expenditure including quarterly reforecasting and monthly reporting

We are looking for:

  • Experience of campaign planning, project management and review
  • Media planning and buying experience – across a range of media types and channels
  • Social/digital marketing experience
  • Experience of budget management – preferably across expenditure and income
  • Agency management experience – including creative agencies and other suppliers such as printers
