About the role:

Role overview

Join Alzheimer’s Society in this vital role and you will do more than just share our vision of a world without dementia. You will play a big part in making it happen. How? By helping to identify, develop and create innovative and inspiring high-value funding propositions and proposals that will help some of the 850,000 people in the UK currently living with dementia.

Reporting to the Propositions and Proposals Manager, you’ll support our high-value fundraising teams, drafting compelling written proposals and providing essential information to inform conversations with supporters. You will work closely with colleagues across the charity – sourcing and presenting budgets, building case studies and crafting engaging copy – to translate our research and support services into appealing funding opportunities. Alongside this, you’ll support our restricted donations management by administering our sign-off process for restricted gifts.

A great chance to act as an ambassador for people affected by dementia, this role offers the opportunity to showcase your creativity and ability to inspire with words, and to build productive relationships across a busy organisation.

About you:

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, you have some knowledge of the UK voluntary sector, preferably medical or care charities. Excellent communication skills are essential, and we will also be looking for proven experience of writing persuasively for a demanding audience and in making complex concepts accessible.

Numerate, accurate and with strong attention to detail, you are proficient using Microsoft Office applications and have the organisational ability it takes to manage and prioritise a busy workload to meet deadlines.

This is a fixed-term post until the end of June. There will be permanent opportunities within the team to follow, for which we would encourage the right candidate to apply.

Alzheimer’s Society is committed to equal opportunities.

You may have experience of the following: Propositions and Proposals Executive, Fundraising, Charity, Third Sector, Fundraising Executive, Budgets, Major Gifts, Third Sector, etc.
