Are you a good organiser, have great attention to detail and want to be part of a young, lively fundraising team? Can you provide a first class service for our supporters, meet deadlines and be the heart of a busy office at Duchess of Kent Hospice as our new Hospice Fundraising Operations Officer?

This role is responsible for processing all donations received and working with the Supporter Care Team to ensure we provide excellent customer care to all supporters. You will also lead on embedding fundraising compliance and best practice and be the data lead for the team. You will manage office volunteers, the smooth running of the fundraising office and be the link with our central Fundraising Operations Team.  You will be an important part of our efficient and dynamic team, driving income to meet challenging targets. No two days are the same and this is a great opportunity to be an integral part of our fundraising activity, adding direct value to the incredible work we do.

This is a great opportunity for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent IT skills
  • Experience of working in a customer/support service office environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with close attention to detail
  • Experience of supervising volunteers
  • Ability to organise a varied workload, working to deadlines but being able to pick up tasks as needed
  • Ability to work proactively as part of the fundraising team
  • Experience of databases, the ability to input accurately, and development and maintenance of electronic and manual systems

Sue Ryder provides incredible hospice and neurological care for people facing a frightening, life-limiting changing diagnosis. It's not just expert medical care we provide. It's the emotional support and practical things we take care of too.

Duchess of Kent is a Sue Ryder hospice based in Reading. We are here for people aged 16, caring for patients with life limiting conditions. We offer a range of support to patients and their families including inpatient care in our 15 bed hospice and 7 day a week community care. Our day services are open to those with life limiting and long term conditions who come along to join in activities and planned sessions. Our expert care team includes doctors, nurses, care assistants, physiotherapists, occupational and complementary therapists, bereavement support workers and volunteer befrienders.

Location:  Duchess of Kent Hospice, Reading  RG30 2DX

Hours:  37.5 over 5 days per week
