Head of Development

We are seeking a talented and inspiring leader to join our Senior Team as our Head of Development. 

The new Head of Development will manage the team whilst working actively in fund development and deputise for the CEO as and when required.

Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Development will lead our Development Team, working with the Philanthropy Director, Marketing & Communications Manager and admin support. 

We distribute over £1m annually in grants to the voluntary sector and individuals in Wiltshire and Swindon. Our aim is to narrow the gap between the advantaged and disadvantaged in our county by providing grant funding for a wide range of causes.  We are known for our professionalism and knowledge of the needs in our county and are considered the “go to place” for those wanting to be philanthropic in the county.  We are an ambitious and creative foundation with a dedicated staff team and engaged Board of Trustees.

Our Development Team works with donors to build our endowment, provide revenue funding for a wide variety of grant programmes, fund our core costs and acquire trusts/legacies.  We offer philanthropy advice, bespoke donor advised funds and work with a range of stakeholders.  We currently have 150 donors who make up our £20m endowment.  The work is varied, relationship based and transformational.
