We are looking for an experienced and established leader to join us as Head of Account Management, leading and developing a dynamic and highly successful Account Management Team to ensure significant annual growth with our existing corporate partnerships.

Working in more than 120 countries, we do whatever it takes to create breakthroughs in the way the world treats children. Our Marketing and Fundraising divisions exist to inspire millions of people – from individuals to large corporate organisations – to support our quest for change. Together, we save children’s lives, fight for their rights and help them fulfil their potential.

As Head of Account Management you will be responsible for maximising the delivery of seven figure, multi layered and mutually beneficial partnerships with companies operating on national and global scales. You will lead, motivate and support the Account Management Team to maximise the value of a portfolio of partnerships that deliver both short and long term investment as well as delivering wider value and impact for Save the Children’s organisational ambitions and priorities. Working with senior colleagues in the Partnerships Senior Leadership team, you will ensure that there is strong and consistent leadership and management across the department and that our performance, monitoring and accountability systems are robust. In addition you will:

  • Exceed corporate fundraising income targets and work closely with the team to identify and grow our next strategic global partnership
  • Monitor progress and performance through the use of targets and KPIs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish creative PR and marketing campaigns for all commercial partnerships
  • Promote and support the development of Save the Children’s approach to delivering strategic long term partnerships that may also have a shared value partnership element
  • Drive the implementation of stewardship and engagement strategies for key stakeholders across partnerships.

To be successful in this role you will be experienced and confident in generating and growing strategic, high value partnerships. Experience of leading a team and successfully motivating them to achieve ambitious targets and experience of effectively engaging and influencing at the most senior levels are both essential. A confident networker with the ability to influence people both internally and externally, you will demonstrate a proven ability to work collaboratively across departmental boundaries to achieve shared organisational goals. You will have a commercial outlook based on a career of building and delivering significant strategic partnerships and have a proven record of leading seven figure partnerships in a large organisation. In addition you will have:

  • Experience in budget management and the ability to monitor income and expenditure
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to effectively lead, motivate and manage a team
  • Experience driving forward complex initiatives across a large, global organisation to deliver on targets
  • A degree level education or equivalent experience
  • The ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

At Save the Children we are committed to the safeguarding and protection of children in our work. We will do everything possible to ensure that only those who are suitable to work with children are recruited to work for us. This post is subject to a range of vetting checks including a criminal records disclosure.

Our mission is to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. If you share our mission, are passionate about making it happen and strongly believe you can contribute then join us and we'll give you every opportunity to succeed. We look forward to hearing from you.
