Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) raises funds to support Addenbrooke's and the Rosie, the Cambridge University Hospitals. We connect givers and causes, funding projects and facilities that are beyond the boundaries of the NHS to achieve the highest possible standards and outcomes in patient experience, clinical care, research and education.

The Trusts Fundraiser role will be based at our offices in Cambridge

Salary: £24,000-£26,000 dependent upon experience

The Trusts Fundraiser is responsible for generating £150k from trusts and foundations (grants in excess of £5k), contributing to ACT’s £1M annual trust income target. The postholder will manage a portfolio of existing supporters and seek support from new funders to grow ACT’s trust income. Developing compelling high quality funding proposals that are strategically relevant and attractive to trusts is essential. Rigorous and detailed timely reporting is vital in ensuring the longevity of relationships. Providing excellent personal stewardship through phone calls, written communications and personal meetings will be key.

This role sits within ACT’s Development team which is responsible for ACT’s major donor programme, looking after individuals, grant-making trusts and corporates who support Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals through major gifts.

The post-holder will play a crucial role in enabling ACT to maximise on funding opportunities in support of a variety of programmes, ranging from medical equipment, research and specialist staff to capital projects.
