Community Fundraiser

We require an experienced community fundraiser to join our successful fundraising team to further develop the fundraising activity within our local community, engaging with new and existing supporters.  You will support individuals organising their own events, and participants of community fundraising events; this may include advising supporters on ways to get involved, supplying information and materials, giving encouragement and help to promote their fundraising. You will engage with local organisations, groups, schools, churches, as well as the Hospices’ Fundraising Groups to encourage their support.  You will be responsible for managing existing campaigns therefore knowledge of raffles and collection boxes is desirable.

You will be a confident and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills, and able to show the drive and determination to promote and manage successful fundraising campaigns to achieve ambitious financial targets.

Essential criteria for this role include a minimum of two years fundraising experience and a proven track record in organising, marketing and delivering successful fundraising campaigns, including excellent administration and IT skills.

It is desirable that the successful candidate has existing knowledge of the local geographical area.

This position is a fixed term contract for 12 months commencing at the latest July 2017. We will be looking to interview as soon as possible after the closing date. We will only contact candidates who have been short listed for interview – this may be by email.
