Derby Museums is looking for an experienced and dynamic Development Manager to implement our fundraising strategy, including generating of new earned income to support the ongoing revenue costs of Derby Museums and to develop Derby Museums Endowment Fund. Then role includes but is not limited to;

  • Identifying potential trusts and foundations and making applications
  • Identifying and developing relationships with corporate supporters
  • Identifying and cultivating potential individual givers, major donors and legacies
  • Organising fundraising events
  • Supporting the development of commercial activities

Joining a committed Resources Team, you’ll work closely with colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to all stakeholders as well as managing team data and reporting.

The Person

We’re looking for a driven individual with proven experience in fundraising and event management. To excel at this role, you’ll be organised, creative and resourceful with a solid understanding of all the different types of giving. You’ll have outstanding communication and networking skills and be confident to tailor your approach.

Above all else, you’ll have a strong commitment to the cultural heritage of Derby and a strong belief in your ability to make a positive impact.
