It’s an exciting time to be joining the team at Acorns. There’s much to celebrate and give thanks for as we look towards our 30th Anniversary next year but without our people and our amazing supporters we couldn’t be there for the children and families we care for. There’s still so much more we need to do and you can be part of our story.

Are you tenacious and results driven? Are you passionate about engaging with supporters and volunteers to help us meet our mission to improve the quality of life for all those affected by life limiting or life threatening conditions?

The children and young people who come to Acorns all have serious and complex life limiting or life threatening conditions. We offer care and support services to suit each individual family’s needs and do whatever we can to help them and their child.  We firmly believe that no family should go through this alone, so as a fundraising team we must raise significant funds to ensure we are there for each and every one of them. This is why we need someone like you to join our community fundraising team and inspire the local community to join us in our vision.

Responsible for generating income from the local community across the Gloucestershire and South Warwickshire area, via education, religious groups, social groups, local businesses and individuals doing their own fundraising in aid of Acorns. We are seeking a Community Fundraising Officer to reach pre-agreed annual targets by building long tern relationships from our existing donors and developing new supporters.

You will be self-motivated and adept at planning and prioritising your workload, with experience of and resilience to meeting targets. Previous fundraising experience or experience of working within sales is essential and the ability to work within a team.
