It has a long and proud history in humanitarian and development work with communities worldwide affected by conflict.  At Cord we dream of a world in which every individual enjoys the dignity of fair treatment and the hope of a more positive future. We work in conflict and post-conflict societies with people of all faiths and none to enable them to address and overcome the root causes of conflict.

Cord is seeking an experienced programme development advisor with a strong grant-funding track record, to identify prospective donors, and to develop, write and submit high quality compelling project proposals.  This talented, self-motivated and enthusiastic team player will secure institutional grants for our international programme and increase our funding base of institutional donors in the UK and worldwide.

  • A good understanding of the priorities and the method of operation of institutional donors;
  • Minimum of two years’ experience of institutional funding in an international development context;
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, and the ability to work towards strict deadlines;

  • Ability to research, analyse and communicate complex information to a wide audience;
  • Competence in relevant Microsoft Office programs;
  • Willingness to undertake international travel for approximately eight weeks a year;

If you have a commitment to Cord’s values and ethos, inspired by the Christian faith, and the drive to help communities secure meaningful livelihoods, enjoy their fundamental human rights and to actively participate in societies that are more peaceful and inclusive, then we would like to hear from you.
