We are looking for an experienced and committed individual to join us as Community Volunteering Manager and drive ambitious growth across the region, building self-sustaining communities to deliver income and brand awareness and to maximise supporter engagement.

As Community Volunteering Manager you will create and deliver a regional strategic plan to ensure maximum growth in income and awareness in line with our community engagement strategy. You will also be responsible for setting and meeting ambitious financial and non-financial key performance indicators and significantly increasing income through volunteers in communities across the UK. In addition you will:

  • Provide leadership to the volunteer network across the region, prioritisng the development of established communites with the potential to increase income and awareness
  • Manage and develop volunteers in strategic key roles to increase scale, reach and sustainability across the region
  • Analyse data to identify colder communities with high potential and implement plans to build local awareness, increase income and increase our supporters base
  • Manage a varied engagement portfolio of opportunities for supporters, and a broad offering of volunteer roles aligned with organisational priorities
  • Deliver exceptional volunteer management across all roles and throughout each volunteer journey.

To be successful you will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience with the ability to recruit, motivate and lead volunteers to raise money. A natural communicator, you will be able to inspire support and action from a wide range of supporters. In addition, you will have good IT literacy, including experience in using a range of databases and reporting tools. You will also have:

  • A good understanding of working within current legislation and guidelines of fundraising and working with volunteers
  • Proven experience of successfully managing expenditure budgets and hitting ambitious community income targets
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise, be proactive and manage a varied work load across a wide geographical area
  • Demonstrable analytical skills to drive business decisions
  • The ability to work well both in a team and independently.
