Working in more than 120 countries, we do whatever it takes to create breakthroughs in the way the world treats children. Our Fundraising division exists to inspire millions of people – from individuals to large corporate organisations – to support our quest for change. The Supporter Retention team is a vital part of the Fundraising division, tasked with delivering exciting, interesting and relevant communication journeys to circa 500,000 supporters. Together, we save children’s lives, fight for their rights and help them fulfil their potential.

In addition, you will:

  • Be accountable for managing and driving the Retention team’s loyalty and engagement strategies, ensuring that they are embedded in the retention communication programme

  • Identify, learn and adapt innovation and best practice in supporter stewardship and loyalty both inside and outside the charity sector.

To be successful you will be able to perform well under pressure with proven experience in developing and managing customer/supporter stewardship, experience or loyalty within a direct marketing context. You should also have a good understanding of a variety of direct marketing channels including direct mail, email, SMS and telephone. In addition you will have:

  • Demonstrable understanding of customer/supporter loyalty strategies or donor stewardship programs
  • Experience of working with customer/supporter databases and segmentation
  • Knowledge of best practice and innovation within the customer/supporter loyalty marketplace
  • The ability to communicate accurately and appropriately with customer/supporters, general public, colleagues and senior management
  • The ability to self-motivate and work under your own initiative.
