The Message Trust exists: To improve the lives of young people primarily in urban areas. Working in schools, in local communities and in prisions, The Message is in regular contact with around 100,000 young people each year across the UK and now internationally in South Africa from a base in Greater Manchester using music and drama to communicate a positive message of hope, faith and love.
We seek to empower staff to meet the needs and expectations of our clients and other service users as well as the requirements of the organisation overall. We will support staff through a comprehensive induction and training programme, backed up by strong supervision. The Senior Fundraising Officer will be responsible for securing a portion of the Fundraising Department's income targets through Trust and Foundations campaigns; legacy appeals, major donor fundraising and where appropriate, the Senior Fundraising Officer will also be required to provide support to other fundraising team members. The post holder will be expected to act as part of the team in all aspects, including event planning, mail campaigns and sponsored events. As a member of the Finance and Fundraising Department the Senior Fundraising Officer will be required to take part in gift processing when appropriate.
