At Global Witness we investigate and campaign to stop human rights and environmental abuses caused by corruption and the exploitation of natural resources. 

In 2016 we raised £10m from our established and successful institutional fundraising programme, making it our most successful year to date and we’re now looking for a Grants Officer to play a key part in delivering our ambitious fundraising strategy and targets for growth

About the role

As our Grants Officer you‘ll research and identify new trust, foundation and statutory fundraising prospects.  With excellent stewardship of current funders, you’ll support in maintaining long-term and valued relationships. 

You’ll input into the production of high quality grant applications, in partnership with the campaign and finance teams and support our UK based major donor fundraising team with reports.

About you

You’ll have excellent writing and organisational skills, as well as experience of working in a quick and target-driven environment. You’ll also be innovative and persuasive, keen to build on the fundraising successes to date.

We’ll be looking to you to identify new fundraising opportunities so a creative and entrepreneurial outlook is essential.  

Finally, collaborative by nature you’ll work sensitively on maintaining relationships and supporting on new fundraising opportunities with a broad range of colleagues from our campaigners through to our communications team.
