One in six people in the UK will have a disability in their lifetime and we want to make sure they have the opportunity to live their lives to their full potential.

Leonard Cheshire Disability is the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of services for disabled people.  Our services include high-quality care and community support together with innovative projects supporting disabled people into education, employment and entrepreneurship.  Worldwide, our global alliance of Cheshire partners supports disabled people into education and employment, and works in more than 50 countries.

An exciting new role has been created for a senior fundraiser to cover Scotland. You’ll be maximising awareness for Leonard Cheshire in Scotland through proactively securing and managing local and regional partnerships, recruiting and managing supporters and fundraising volunteers along with maximising community engagement.

Working with the team in Scotland and closely with the  Director of Scotland, the focus will be to build on the current  income targets. This is a key role at a time where we have ambitious aims of reaching more people in Scotland with disabilities and making a positive difference to their lives.

You will have a proven track record in fundraising at a community level or strong evidence of transferable experience, for example an outstanding track record in sales or account management. You’ll have excellent communication, networking and relationship building skills.

You will also need a full UK driving licence plus previous experience of working remotely and being able to demonstrate an ability to manage and motivate yourself. Please note this is a home based role you will need to live in Scotland with reasonable access to the Scottish office based in Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the values and ethos of the charity.

Leonard Cheshire Disability welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
