Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: GBP 24,577 - GBP 34,162 (including GBP 3,278 Inner London Weighting), dependent on experience

About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the British Red Cross. This is a fixed term maternity cover contract within the Trusts and Statutory Fundraising team, vital to achieving our ambitious growth objectives and making our income target in 2017 and 2018. The post-holder will directly contribute to the British Red Cross's fundraising strategy by managing a portfolio of Trusts and statutory bodies, both new and existing relationships.

This post plays an important role in the Trusts and Statutory team, securing significant restricted funding from Charitable Trusts and statutory sources. The post holder will manage a portfolio of medium to high value trust and statutory relationships, securing funds in line with agreed notional income targets.

About the team
This is a role within the Trust and Statutory (TS) team within the High Value Giving & Events department, which also comprises the major donors, events and corporate fundraising teams. The T&S team, of the largest of its kind in the sector, has ambitious plans for growth and is targeted to raise GBP 10.5m in 2065.

About the person
You will have experience of fundraising or managing grants from UK government, Lottery or other institutional donors, and large trusts and foundation donors; monitoring and reporting on project/service budgets; an excellent understanding of donor stewardship and donor care principles; together with exceptional written and communication skills, and with the ability to build strong relationships.
